Due to the latest round of cancellations and late starts, Pipestone Area Schools will be holding classes on Monday, February 18 instead of an E-Learning Day.  Please communicate with your school if you have any questions or scheduling conflicts.

We would also like to clarify a few questions regarding school calendar changes and E-Learning Days. The School District can adjust the calendar to meet attendance requirements, and due to the unusual weather, these changes are justified. In regard to E-Learning Days, state law states that a school must notify families at least two hours prior to the regular start of the school day for an E-Learning Day. This means we have to announce the E-Learning plan prior to 6:15 AM.

We understand that weather cancellations are a major inconvenience, and Pipestone Area Schools appreciates the cooperation of our parents, students, teachers, and community members during these events. E-Learning Days are a new concept, and we will continue to learn from our mistakes and make these days meaningful and flexible to accommodate these weather events.
