Hello 6th graders and families! My name is Brittany Bennett and I will be your math and social studies teacher this year. I was born and raised in Windom, MN, so I grew up coming to Pipestone for activities and sporting events. Now, I love that I get to live close to my family in Windom because I get to see my niece and nephew more often.
I enjoy indoor activities like reading, crafting, singing, playing the piano, and baking. I also LOVE sports and am a Minnesota fan all the way! My favorite sports to play and watch are basketball, football, and hockey. In the summer, I work at Camp Shetek (by Slayton) as a camp counselor.
I graduated in the spring of 2015 from the University of Northwestern in St.Paul, MN with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Math (5-8). I really love math and I hope you do as well after this year! In college, I had multiple opportunities to travel around the world. So far I have visited the countries of Rwanda, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, France, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Kenya, and Egypt. Feel free to ask me about any of my travels because I love to share. I hope to add to my list soon!
Looking forward to a fantastic year together in 6th grade!
