I grew up in the small South Dakota town of Gregory, known mostly for its great pheasant hunting. Growing up, there wasn't much else to do in Gregory. I graduated from Gregory High School in 1999 and continued my education at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. I began my education at DSU pursuing a degree in Information Systems, but soon decided that wasn't for me and switched to E-Commerce. After 5 years of college, I graduated from DSU with a Bachelors of Science degree in E-Commerce with an emphasis on Technology and minors in Computer Security and Computer Networking.
Upon graduation from DSU in May of 2004 I took a job with Austad's Golf in Sioux Falls, South Dakota doing web development for www.austads.com. After a couple years, I decided that web development wasn't as challenging as I thought it would be. I was offered the Technology Coordinator position in Pipestone in November of 2005. I truly enjoy working for the district and implementing technology into the classrooms.
In August of 2006, my wife, Nikki, and I were married; we now reside in Dell Rapids South Dakota. She is a High School Special Education teacher for the Dell Rapids School District. During my short commute, I enjoy brainstorming new ways to integrate technology into the students' educational experience.
