Summer Band Lessons
Lessons will run August 20-23, 2018 (Monday - Thursday)
French Horn 1:10-1:40Oboe 1:50-2:20
Summer lessons are offered free of charge and are optional, but highly recommended. These lessons will allow your student to get a jump start on their instrument before the busy beginning of the school year. Our objectives for the summer lessons are to learn proper care and assembly of the instrument, how to make a characteristic sound, and learn the first 3 notes and a few songs on their instrument. Students will be grouped by instrument and have a 30 minute lesson for 4 days. If you rented an instrument from the Music Street, they will be delivered to the school before your first lesson. If you are providing your own instrument, please bring it the first day of lessons. If you are using a school instrument, Mrs. Bierman will have those instruments ready for you on the first day of lessons. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Bierman at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Welcome to Fifth and Sixth Grade Band and General Music! My name is Mrs. Bierman and I'm very excited to be returning to the Music Department at Pipestone! I've been a Music Educator for 11 years, most recently teaching at Adrian Public Schools prior to coming to Pipestone. I received my undergraduate degree in Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. I am an active member of the Minnesota Band Directors Association and I am also currently serving on their state board as President. In my free time, I love spending time with my family. My husband Reece and I have two daughters, Charlotte and Claire, and a yellow lab named Cadence and a black lab, Luna.
